	The Strokes have been added to the T in the Park Line up The Strokes will take to the Main Stage on Sunday 9th July at Balado by Kinross for another blistering live performance at T in the Park. They will be playing new material from their top ten album ‘First impressions of earth’. Today’s news also comes the same day as they preview the new video to their highly anticipated second release from this album ‘Heart in a cage.’ New York’s uber cool elite, The Strokes, will be making a return performance, their first since their show-stoppingly amazing headline set at T in the Park in 2004. Lining up as singer/songwriter Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valenski and Albert Hammond Junior, bassist Nikolai Fraiture and drummer Fabrizio Moretti, they burst onto the UK music scene with their celebrated debut ‘Is This It?’, from which the classic hits, ‘Hard To Explain’, ‘Last Night’ came. The Strokes have remained a integral favourite in the music collections of many a T in the Parker. The follow up, ‘Room On Fire’, a mere 33 minutes long introduced a more meticulous, new wave inspired sound which was released in the late months of 2003 and issued the singles ‘12:51’ and ‘Reptilia’. 2006’s ‘First Impressions of Earth’ was preluded by the release of the filthily fantastic ‘Juicebox’, and sees The Strokes having crafted a third albums worth of perfect 3 minute rock pop in their most polished and experimental offering to date which more than live up to its surrounding hype.
