rRecord breaking demand for T in the Park was experienced on 17th Febiary 2006
on official websites, ticket hotlines and in ticket outlets as 2006’s event sold out in just under 1 hour!
Unprecedented demand for T in the Park was experienced this morning on official websites, ticket hotlines and in ticket outlets as 2006’s event sold out in just under 1 hour!
Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning, and the highest demand ever was witnessed for T in the Park as day tickets, weekend tickets and weekend tickets with camping sold out completely in UNDER 1 hour. Music fans have once again underlined today that T in the Park, which takes place in Balado by Kinross on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July 2006, is the hottest ticket in the UK.
A limited number of tickets for this year’s T in the Park went on sale back in July, just one day after 2005’s event. And while the sun was setting on another outstanding event, T in the Parkers snapped them up in JUST FOUR HOURS. This astounding record-smashing time is testament to the festival’s consistent popularity and stature amongst global music fans even before any artists were revealed.
Geoff Ellis, CEO of festival organisers Big Day Out Ltd commented:
“Once again music fans have shown that T in the Park tickets are the most hotly sought after in the UK! The beautiful Balado location coupled with the unrivalled passion of the Scottish audience and of course the consistently brilliant line-up all add up to a festival experience that is unrivalled anywhere else in Europe. Whether you are a T in the Park regular or this is your first visit to the festival, we look forward to delivering another fantastic event for you in July!
If you didn’t manage to get tickets this year, then once again we do advise you not to turn to ticket touts or unofficial websites as not only will you pay well over the odds, but you may be paying for tickets that do not exist and you will not gain access to the festival with a forgery.”
George Kyle, Head of Sponsorship at founding partners Tennent’s Lager added:
“Seeing T in the Park once again smash its own record by selling out within under 1 hour is a huge indication of the now global stature of the festival.
Our thanks must go to our partners Big Day Out Ltd for putting together another outstanding line up. However, huge thanks must also go to the legendary Balado crowd who are an integral part of the best festival experience in the world. T in the Park truly is unique, and we can’t wait to build up towards another fantastic event.
We at Tennent’s Lager look forward to seeing all of those who purchased tickets this morning and last year in July at Balado.”
