After selling 35,000 tickets at the end of T in the Park 2006, the remaining tickets wer snapped up this morning in 40 mins.
Geoff Ellis, of festival organisers DF Concerts had this to say:
“While we thought that the T in the Park tickets would sell out quickly today, we are amazed that it has broken its own record as the fastest selling festival in the UK. Once again T in the Park fans have shown how much they love the festival and we look forward to seeing each and every-one of you there!
However, if you did not manage to get your hands on a ticket today then I urge you not to turn to unofficial online outlets or internet auction sites. Not only would you have to pay well over the odds, but you may be paying for tickets that do not exist and therefore you will not gain access to the festival.
Once the final capacity for the site is agreed, multiple bookings are made void and where possible, online lots are cancelled, a second batch of tickets will go onsale in the coming weeks. ”
