Franz Ferdinand are the latest act to be added to this summers T in the Park Festival. They join a line up including Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, Artic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs.

More acts have being announced for download festival 2006, Korn, Clutch and the Deftones have been added to the Doningtion Park Rock Fest on 9th to 11th June 2006.
These acts join Metallica, My Valentine, Trivium and the prodigy who have already confirmed their attendence.
The much anticipated Brit Awards ceremony is tonight.
The main awards such as best british Band, and Album are highly contested,

More acts have been added to the 2006 Nokia Isle of Wight Festival. On the Saturday Dirty Pretty Things and The Kooks have been added, kicking off the whole weekend by opening the Friday are Brighton based band The Upper Room.

The T in the Park Festival have announced the first set of acts for this years festival headliners are Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Who also playing are the biggest debut album act ever the Arctic Monkeys.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are to tour the UK in June and July 2006. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 17th Feburary 2006 at 9am.

A story in the Mail on Sunday suggests that the Princes Trust / Capital FM Party in the park will not take place this year. This year is the 30th anniversary of the Princes Trust. The official lines is Princes Trust will be too busy planning 30th anniversary celebration to organise the hyde park event attended by 100,000 people. The Mail on Sunday suggests it might also be due to organisers struggling to attract enough big name stars.
