Multi-platinum-selling, singer-songwriter-actress Erykah Badu, has announced a London date for July as part of her European tour.
Universal Motown artist Erykah Badu, best known for her eccentric style and cerebral music, is a Grammy- award winning American soul singer and songwriter. Regarded as the Queen of Neo Soul, Badu’s sound -- a concoction of soul, hip-hop and jazz -- cannot be contained to a single genre. Self-described as a “mother first”, Badu is a touring artist, dj, teacher, community activist, holistic healer, vegan, recycler, and conscious spirit.
Baduizm, Badu's highly acclaimed debut album, was released in early 1997 went triple platinum and, along with "On & On," won Grammy Awards at the 1998 ceremony. During the spring of 2010, Badu released her fifth studio album, and second instalment of a two-part New Amerykah series.
New Amerykah, Part 1: Fourth World War, a concept album that was digitally produced and political in tone, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and Rolling Stone named it one of the year’s best albums. New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ahnk, which features lush live instrumentation and taps into Badu’s emotional side by thematically focusing on romance and relationships, made its debut at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.

It's just been announced that Phil Collins will kick off the 44th Montreux Jazz Festival with an exclusive July 1 performance. The show, entitled Up Close &
Due to scheduling and production difficulties, the first of Phil's four shows at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, originally slated for June 22, has been cancelled. The remaining shows, on June 23, 24 and 25, will go on as scheduled. Tickets purchased for the June 22 show can either be refunded or will be good for one of the other shows. Those wishing refunds or exchanges should go to their point of purchase or call 800-745-3000.

The Sun Newspaper report that Kylie has ordered Ebay to take down all auctions of her sold our concerts, to allow tickets to be resold at face value.
Leading ticket agent See Tickets have traced the tickets on sale on ebay and written to holders of the tickets to tell them that the tickets will not be issued as they are attempting to resale them.
Kylie's stand is a broadshot at Ebay who seem to have just let this "ticket touting" go on allowing punters to splash out up to 10x the face value of tickets.

Concert, theatre and sport promoters are calling for ticket touting to be made illegal, saying the internet has made it easier to rip fans off.
Major promoters are joining forces to make their case at a meeting with Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell.
Some unofficial agencies and auctions deceive and defraud fans as well as charging high prices, promoters say.
But the government is not convinced a new law is needed and wants promoters to tackle the problem themselves.
